C.L.O.W.N.S (Creating Learning Opportunities in Western Somerset) was established in 1995. For many years we were renowned for our double decker bus as it travelled between the more rural communities of West Somerset, providing a wide range of mobile outreach services and facilities to children and families.
We support children and young people who experience the impact of social isolation and social mobility issues; who are often considered marginalised because of socio-economic or geographical reasons. Working directly within such communities and bring children and young people together; we provide high-energy, safe learning environments that encourage the development of play, communication and motor-skills, while nurturing aspiration and supporting good, balanced physical and mental wellbeing.
Our activities include: soft play, wild walks, pop-up play, messy play, and more. We are currently developing a range of new activities and projects with a focus upon supporting children's sensory development.
Complementing our outreach work is our Toy Library and Scrap-Store, currently based at The Minehead Eye, where families can hire toys and purchase a range of affordable resources.
As a small charity we need your help so that we can continue to offer and expand our services!
With Givey we receive 100% of every donation.
