About
This year I will be doing Dry(ish) July for 21 days (1 July to 21 July) to support the TEA Project in Sri Lanka. The TEA project is a charity I learned about in 2016 whilst backpacking Sri Lanka. Based in Kandy, they provide education, food, training amongst other things to empower children from Poverty in Sri Lanka. They are currently working on a new pre-school and food programme with expected launch in September 2020 which funds raised will be used toward. TEA relies heavily on tourism, for both volunteer tourism and donations of foreigners. Tourism in Sri Lanka has been severely impacted since the Easter 2019 bombings and further adversely impacted by COVID-19. Sri Lanka needs your support more than ever and TEA does a great job of providing support to young people. Please donate if you can.
