Indus Hospitals in Pakistan has been able to successfully treat 10,000 children for cancer and blood diseases. Living with cancer can be traumatic not just for the child but also for their parents. We, at Indus have opened a school within the hospital to help offer some normality to the children during their treatment. The school is called ‘Indus ke Sitare’ and we have teachers that cater for all age ranges to help the children not fall behind from their curriculum when they return home. Offering this insight to the children helps to keep their mind and bodies healthy. Counselling is also offered for the families whose maybe less so, but lives have changed in many ways. God willing many of them do go on to live full and happy lives and not be defined by their illness.
