This fundraising story can sit on your page as the main “why” behind your challenge:Why I’m Raising Money for Dougie Mac HospiceIn Rachel’s final months of life, Dougie Mac Hospice became far more than a place of care. The team there treated her withcompassion, dignity, and warmth at a time when everything felt unbearably hard.
I was able to stay by Rachel’s side at the hospice for almost two months, and nothing was ever too much trouble. They cared for her with incredible kindness and respect.
One of the things that meant the world to us was that they welcomed our Frenchie, Dave, without hesitation. Dave could be there with us, bringing a bit of normality if Dave ever could.
The support Dougie Mac gave us is something I can never fully repay, but I want to do everything I can to give back so other families can receive the same care and kindness we did. That is why I’m raising money for Dougie Mac Hospice – to say thank you for how they looked after Rachel, and to help them continue their incredible work for others facing the toughest moments of their lives.
If you are able to donate, no matter how small the amount, it will go directly towards helping more patients and families receive the same loving care that meant so much to us. Thank you for supporting this cause in Rachel’s memory.
