When a Givey user registers at Givey.com we ask for information such as your name, e-mail address, postal address, contact and Gift Aid details, and then we keep a record of this information. All this is necessary so we can recognise you as a registered user, pass on the correct details with your donation and ensure that you are happy with the service you receive - you can choose to donate anonymously without registering with Givey, in this circumstance your information won't be passed on to the charity.
We keep a record of any donation you make using Givey. This means both the charity and in some instances the we can help to deal more quickly with any queries or problems you may have, and also so we can ensure that any information that we send to you is relevant.
The donations you make via Givey create content for the site - ‘donation strings’ - and these appear in several places (your profile, charity profile, profiles of other users involved in the donation). This content will remain on the site unless you request that it be removed, please note that some information must be retained in order for us to fullfill our service to charities, for example address details and details of your donation pertaining to Gift Aid
We keep a record of any e-mail correspondence you send us, so we can track any problems or concerns you've had with any of the retailers' stores on our website.
We'll also ask you questions at registration, and from time to time by email, that will give us information that will be used to improve your experience of donating using your Givey account. You do not have to answer these questions, but if you do we can communicate with you in a more relevant way.
If you would like to revise the information you have provided to us, or feel that what we currently have on record is incorrect, you can change this in your Givey account at any time or contact us if you want a backup of your information or to delete your account.
