Stephen Dobson is raising £200 for The Stroke Association
About
Thanks for visiting my Great North Run fundraising page. My Givey page is exactly the same as JustGiving only ALL money donated here goes direct to the charity. JustGiving keep 7.6% and charge each of the 8,000 they list 15 per month. Hence why I'm not using Just Giving. It's been a few years since I ran my last Great North Run and watching last years run on TV inspired me to apply for this year's half marathon . My 7 year old son, Harrison, wanted to join in the fun and is doing the Mini Great North Run too. After suffering a Trans ischemic attack (mini stroke) a few years ago as a result of being born with a hole in my heart (1 in 4 people have this hole, most just don't know about it) I decided to raise money for The Stroke Association. Having a history of strokes in my family I am grateful for the work they have done and still do for those I loved and still love. I know many visitors to these pages have a quick look and intend donating later but I would be grateful if you took the time to donate asap. Just a couple of pound would be great and would help those who unlike me haven't made a full recovery. Thanks for your generosity, it means a lot. Stephen
