Alex's Half Marathon Fundraiser...... Hi everyone!..... I'm taking on the challenge of running a half marathon on the 18th May to raise money for Freddie's Wish, an incredible organisation which you can read more about below........ Alex Freddie's Wish (No. 1202601) was set up in early 2015 after the tragic passing of Freddie, who died at just 13 months old as a result of his injuries from a road traffic accident. Freddie's Dad performed CPR at the scene enabling the Air Ambulance crew to get him to hospital and for him to be given the best chance that he could be given and for his family be given the chance to say goodbye. This inspired the charity to deliver parent and child first aid classes to equip parents with the skills to be able to save their child's life should they need to. In addition, Freddie's mum, Charlotte found it very challenging to find support after the loss of Freddie, so she decided to fill this gap by providing fully funded bereavement support and counselling sessions delivered to those who have lost a baby or child from the moment of conception up to any age, because your baby is always your baby.
