Hi, I’m Andy Parsons.
After retiring from Bedfordshire Police in 2022, following 24 years of service, I joined Midshires Search and Rescue (MSAR) as a volunteer. Now, I’m taking on a challenge that’s pushed me to my limits many times before - the legendary Snowdonia 7 - to raise funds for this incredible team.
On 5th July 2025, I’ll be lacing up my boots once again to tackle twenty two miles, across seven mountain peaks, with almost 8,000 feet of ascent - all within ten hours, carrying essential safety gear.
This event isn’t just about personal endurance - it’s about supporting a team that saves lives.
Midshires Search and Rescue (MSAR) is the Lowland Rescue team for Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire, working alongside police to locate high-risk missing people. In 2024, the team was deployed ninety-two times. MSAR’s forty-six professional volunteers are on call 24/7, 365 days a year - ready to respond, in all conditions, at a moment’s notice.
But here’s the challenge: MSAR receives no government funding. All our equipment, training, and operational costs rely entirely on donations.
I’m proud to be part of this incredible team - and I’m asking for your support. Please help me raise vital funds so MSAR can continue to be there when it matters most.
👉 Donate whatever you can - every pound truly makes a difference.
Thank you for your support. AndyTimeline
