On the 6th April I will be running the London Landmarks half marathon for @freddieswish. To say I'm nervous is an understatement especially as I've already had a few hiccups along the way but even if I have to crawl to the finish line I will because it is all in memory of Freddie. Being an Auntie is one of the best jobs in the world so when Freddie died I felt like my whole world was being ripped apart, a pain I can never truly explain and one that will never go away, just one I have learnt to live around. So this half marathon is my way of doing something just for Freddie whilst also showing Wilf and his cousins that even though Freddie is no longer here he will always be with us in our hearts❤️.
Any donations will be greatly appreciated, thank you.
Freddie's Wish (No. 1202601) was set up in early 2015 after the tragic passing of Freddie, who died at just 13 months old as a result of his injuries from a road traffic accident. Freddie's Dad performed CPR at the scene enabling the Air Ambulance crew to get him to hospital and for him to be given the best chance that he could be given and for his family be given the chance to say goodbye. This inspired the charity to deliver parent and child first aid classes to equip parents with the skills to be able to save their child's life should they need to.
In addition, Freddie's mum, Charlotte found it very challenging to find support after the loss of Freddie, so she decided to fill this gap by providing fully funded bereavement support and counselling sessions delivered to those who have lost a baby or child from the moment of conception up to any age, because your baby is always your baby.
£25 per person to be trained with the vital skills to be able to save their child's life should they need to.
£325 funds an entire parent and child first aid course.
£50 funds a bereavement support or counselling session for a parent who has lost a baby or child, providing a vital lifeline for them.
£300 funds one person to receive 6 fully funded bereavement support sessions to provide them with coping skills they need in the first 2 years after loss.
£600 funds one person to receive 12 fully funded bereavement counselling sessions to help parents rebuild their life around their loss, 2 or more years after the loss.
