About
Team Barch! We need you - it’s that amazing time of year again where we gather all the cheer of each and every one of you and box and parcel it up to give it to those that need it even more than we do this Christmas. Last year we launched our first ever Barchmas and were overwhelmed by the immense generosity of everyone, who stopped by our Barch HQ with so many donations, meaning we were able to provide festive boxes to over 100 families in need! Needless to say, we are super excited and keen to repeat that festive spirit. We’ve been back in touch to see where our help is needed the most, and have been connected to two organisations that we felt keen to help. The first is returning back to Michele, who personally organised the donations of our 100 festive Christmas hampers containing gifts, new clothes, food and toiletries. These are given directly to families who would go without this Barchmas if it wasn’t for people like you! We are also offering our support to St Charles Mental Health Units. They collect small gifts for patients who may be unable to see their families on Christmas Day and will very gratefully be taking donations or small gestures such as toiletries, biscuit tins, sweets and chocolate or (new) essentials such as hats and gloves and underwear for both men and women. In the next few days, we’ll be sharing precise details of our collection but we ask you to earmark W/C 29 November as Giving Week 🎁. During that week we will be taking donations at Barch culminating on Sunday 06 December which will be the official first day of Barchmas. To be as organised as possible we’re going to create a Santa’s wish list of precise donation needs - whilst we’ll collect in anything and everything last year lots of people got in touch to ask about specifics. So we’re here to learn from the epic success of last year and make this year even better. So please save the date > Sunday 06 December < and watch this space for more updates ASAP. We would be so happy to invite you all down on that day, if you can donate we would be so grateful and if not, no worries - come and get involved, see Will dressed as Santa and have a mince pie. We’re just happy to get everyone together! 🎅🏽
