The Loiyangalani Trust was founded in late 2009 by a small group of people in West Hoathly, West Sussex. One of the group had visited Loiyangalani several times and wanted to help the local community through education. Loiyangalani is so far north of the capital of Kenya, Nairobi, that it receives very little regular support from other larger charities. The trust is very close to my family, and for this reason I am running the Richmond Marathon to raise funds for its important charity that helps children through education.
