Sam Stephen is raising £750 for Global Angels
About
YIPPEE, I DID IT!!! Thanks so much for taking the time to visit my fundraising page. I am so very happy (and more surprised than anyone!) to be able to post a picture of my skydive which was completed on Saturday 13th September. I have to say I was completely petrified on the day, but the jump was absolutely INCREDIBLE! Thanks too to the best support team a girl could wish for in Victoria, Patrisha & Brendan, Lemoy, Lorraine, Siobhan, Amber, Oisin, Ruby, Jacob, Joad & Ruben and to the London Parachute School who took great care of me. I am hoping to reach my donation target of 750 so if you are thinking of donating The Global Angels Foundation and I would be so grateful if you could donate whatever you can afford. The Global Angels Foundation is a small charity working on projects in the UK and around the globe. Your donation will go towards their work in the UK, giving children with life threatening illnesses, respite in either the form of a days sailing or a holiday in the country, affording a break away from hospital worries to enjoy quality time together as a family and hopefully take the focus away from their day to day pressures and create happy memories. Around the globe The Global Angels Foundation's projects help communities in need, providing sustainable resources, such as safe drinking water, education, school feeding programs and healthcare. Your donations will also go towards the Mucujo Project in Mozambique where in 2008 The Global Angels Foundation embarked on a program to build and refurbish water wells providing safe drinking water to 12,000 people in the Mucujo area. Last year, they expanded their reach to improve access to water to 24,000 residents. Their aim is to continue increasing the access to water, and in turn decreae the mortality rate. Consider that dirty drinking water kills more children than war, HIV, malaria and traffic accidents combined BUT in Africa, it only costs 10 to provide one more person with safe drinking water for over 10 years so, we can do our bit to help. My skydive was personally funded, Givey.com passes on 100% of funds raised and Global Angels have a 100% price promise, this all means that every single penny of your donation will go directly to those in need with no deductions, no amount is too small. So, go on, be an Angel! For more information on the valuable work of The Global Angels Foundation please have a look at their website, www.globalangels.org Love Samx PS: IMPORTANT NOTE TO ANY ANGEL DONATING... If you have a paypal account, it would be great if you could make your donation using that payment method. Givey.com are currently the only fundraising website that passes on 100% of funds with no deductions whatsoever, however as a relatively new site they are currently only able to Gift Aid donations which are paid via Paypal. They do accept payments by card but cannot currently claim the Gift Aid. So if you do have a Paypal account it would be great if you could use that to donate and if you dont have a paypal account just click on the DONATE WITH CARD button, on the next page click the CHECK OUT AS A GUEST button, and you will then be able to enter your card details. If you would like to leave a message to appear on my page, click on the NOTE TO SELLER link at the bottom of the page. My apologies, because it's a little complicated but Global Angels are a small charity and Givey.com is the only fundraising site they are registered with, so please, please bear with it, we would all be so very grateful. Any queries or problems just drop me a line. Thanks so much!
