Ed Perry is raising £2,000 for Prostate Cancer UK
About
Ed vs the London Marathon In Memory of Christopher Michael Perry. A little under a year and a half ago my dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer. It spread aggressively through his body and bones and he died on the 27th April this year. Exactly a year on, on the 26th April 2015 I'll be running the London Marathon in his memory. It's something I've always wanted to do, and although saddened that it has taken such an incentive to make me get round to it, I am honoured to be doing it for Prostate Cancer UK. It's #notjustavest Prostate Cancer is a matter of life and death: Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men. In the UK one man every hour dies from prostate cancer - that's more than 10,000 every year. Over 40,000 men in the UK are diagnosed with prostate cancer every year - that's more than 100 men diagnosed every day. It's estimated that by 2030, prostate cancer will be the most common cancer and one in eight men will get it. Two out of three adults don't know what the prostate gland does.
