Raising £4k for screens in maths classrooms: can we count on you?
About
Dr Todd (Head of Maths) is asking for our help to upgrade the teaching screens in her classrooms. Most currently have old style whiteboards which are now ageing and starting to fail - spare parts are either unavailable or prohibitively expensive. One room already has a new state of the art interactive screen and Dr Todd would like to roll these out more widely. In her words: "These really do make a difference to what we can do as teachers and how we can help students learn. Anything that improves attainment in maths has to be a good thing.” But this kit doesn’t come cheap – each one costs about £1,350. The School would dearly love to buy 6 and has asked if we at The Friends can ‘go halves’ with £4,050. So, if you are able to make a donation, however big or small, to kit out 3 classrooms with these new screens, please do so.
