About
Charlie's '600 Nile Walkies' Hello, my name is Charlie. I am a 6 year old Springer Spaniel. I am about to take my humans (Mike and Julia) for a long walk. (I like walking and so do my humans). We will set off from Minehead (North west Somerset) on Thursday 28th April and follow the South West Coast Path all the way to Poole in Dorset, arriving on Sunday 12th June. We will cross North Devon, North Cornwall, Lands End, South Cornwall, South Devon and Dorset. We will walk 630 miles on the official coast path, plus routes to hotels, evening walk (I told you, I like walking) etc, totalling something in excess of 700 miles. Whilst it is mostly about a lovely walk, we will also be supporting Nile 2010. Nile 2010 is a scout charity which built a small vocational training school near the source of the Nile in Uganda in the summer of 2010. (Mike was a leader in that expedition) A further Scout expedition added to the facilities in 2015 and a further expedition is planned for next year. Our charity is run completely by volunteers, so every penny we raise is spent improving the facilities and providing education to our students. You can follow our journey as we will post regular 'pupdates' of our progress. Thank you for visiting our Givey page. When you make your donation through Givey, the Charity receives 100% of the donation. Your details are safe with Givey and donating is completely secure. Whatsmore, they never share your email address with any third parties except the Charity you donate to.
