CHC is raising £3,000 for Climb
About
This year a group of friends are participating in a challenge in order to raise awareness and research funds for Alexander Disease, a rare form of Leukodystrophy that affects just 500 people worldwide. In April 2014 Emilia, who is the 5 year old daughter of one of the group, was diagnosed with Alexander Disease. Unfortunately with this form of the disease the disorder tends to get worse throughout the life of the patient and sadly, the outlook is generally poor. Emilia is a true inspiration to everyone and the hope is that by completing this challenge awareness can be raised of this horrible disease. The challenge also aims to highlight and remember the life of one of the friends who recently passed away at the very young age of 41. (Paul Feltham) Paul has been very active in raising money for this charity and we do this challenge to remember him as well as raise funds for the charity. All donations will go to the charity Climb ( Reg no; 1089588) as they help with funding research into genetic diseases. The challenge will take place on 6th May 2017 and involves 200 obstacles over 20 miles. “THE RATRACE DIRTY WEEKEND”
