Colditz Castle, Germany. 5 prisoners of war. 400 miles to neutral Switzerland. 5 days, 5 bicycles. This is the challenge we have set ourselves. In August 2015 we will fly ourselves and our bikes to Leipzig, then make our way to the famous former prisoner of war camp at Colditz Castle. From there we will stage an escape, before cycling over 400 miles over 5 days to the Swiss border, and on to Zurich before flying home. On the way we will be camping, with the only equipment to help us out being what we can carry with us. Why do this? We want to pay tribute to the incredible resourcefulness, determination and sheer courage shown by prisoners of war on all sides in making it their sworn duty to escape from captivity and return to the fight. In doing so we wish to raise money for the Royal British Legion to support the incredible work they do for the Armed Forces family, past, present and future. And finally, we wanted a challenge!
