Chloe McCulloch is raising £500 for Lambeth and Southwark Mind
About
Colette died in July this year aged 35, having struggled with mental illness for much of her adult life. Her family would like to raise money in her memory to support mental health charities Lambeth & Southwark Mind and Autistica. Lambeth & Southwark Mind attend to mental distress and suffering in the London areas of Lambeth and Southwark through creative projects, psychotherapy, groups and a helpline. Although affiliated to Mind, a national charity, the local branch is responsible for all its own fundraising. In particular this branch would like to develop a non-medical residential respite service for people experiencing suicidal thoughts and feelings. Colette was diagnosed with various mental illnesses during her life, most recently with high functioning autism. As a family we would like to see more research into all forms of mental illness and more help for families to support loved ones with a mental illness or in crisis. As part of our fundraising efforts I, her sister, will be running the Royal Parks Half Marathon on 9 October (with the support of my partner Teddy). All the money raised will go towards Lambeth & Southwark Mind and Autistica (go here - http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/SomeoneSpecial/colette - if you wish to donate to this charity too). Thank you for your support. Chloe, Andy and Amanda McCulloch
