Every year our fab organisation Touchstone does ‘Tour de Touchstone’, an event where all teams can raise money for the charity of their choice. Covid-19 is not going to stop us so this year is no exception!
Our Connecting Opportunities team is fundraising money for PAFRAS, a charity that supports destitute asylum seekers in the Leeds area.
Asylum seekers are expected to live on the amount of £5.39 per day, which is unreasonable in normal times and almost impossible during a pandemic.
PAFRAS is currently delivering more than a 100 food parcels per week and they rely a lot on people’s kindness and donations. We want to support PAFRAS in doing their amazing work and help them deliver food parcels to as many vulnerable people as possible!
Our team thought it would be a great idea to hit two birds with one stone, so we have decided to do some green fundraising! We are going to dedicate 10 hours of our time throughout the month of June to do some litter picking around where we live.
Every week we will share with you pictures of our best findings, i.e. the funniest, weirdest or grossest rubbish we’ve come across!
Thank you in advance for your support :-)
