Nikki & Madison's 23km Bridge Walk for Menstrual Cups
About

This International Women’s Day, we’re proud to launch a menstrual cup fundraiser! 🌸☺️

In May, we (Nikki and Madison) will walk 23km across 16 London bridges to raise funds for Ripple Africa's Menstrual Cup project.

We both work for Ripple Africa and we are passionate about reducing period poverty in Malawi. Education shouldn’t pause for a period. Life shouldn’t pause for a period.

Every £10 raised provides a menstrual cup to a schoolgirl or woman in Malawi. ⭐

In Malawi, many girls and women face challenges managing menstruation due to limited access to affordable and sustainable period products. This leads to missed school days, reduced participation in daily activities, and health risks associated with using unhygienic alternatives.

Some girls were even engaging in sexual activities to earn money to buy sanitary pads so they did not have to miss school. Therefore, the introduction of menstrual cups is so important. ❤️💪

A menstrual cup lasts for up to 10 years. They provide a discreet alternative to traditional methods of rags and cloth, and for those accessing modern day sanitary pads, Cups are better for the environment and they save the user money.💫

If you'd like to support schoolgirls and women in rural Malawi, please donate today. Thank you ❤️
