Since 2005, DAY1 has been providing a lifeline to children and young people in the Highlands. Our year-long award-winning mentoring program has been helping disengaged youngsters build resilience to manage the social pressures of modern life. Concentrating our efforts on difficult transition phases of children's development, outcomes include securing employment or training and sustainable progression to the next level of education.
To sustain and increase the number of young people who benefit from our critical services we need to raise £100,000 per annum. Our social enterprise, Inverness Kart Raceway contributes around half of this sum. We are looking to attract individuals and companies from within our community to help us secure the balance. Donations will pay for activities that provide the mechanism for our mentors to build a strong and meaningful bond with their young person.
