MATRIX Neurological is a new charity (based in Middlesbrough) that has been set up to provide practical help and support for children, young people and their families who are living with the effects of an acquired brain injury. They have first-hand experience of child brain injury and the complex ongoing effects that influence everyday life. Understanding through personal experience and observation what happens following and acquired brain injury and how hard it is for children and young people to adjust back into ‘normal’ life again without the right support. In parallel appreciating how brain injuries impact parents, siblings and the family unit as a whole.
