Yes, I’m doing the Dook again! I’m particularly delighted to be doing this as numbers are strictly limited this time, due to the flood prevention works and the pandemic, and I have just received confirmation my entry has been accepted! Due to the flood prevention works it will not be in the harbour this time, but at Beach Crescent (on the other side of the pier from the harbour). This time I’m sad to say it’s in memory of our dear friend, Gavin Russell, who was recently taken from us by Ewing Sarcoma at the very young age of 20. He put up such a brave and dignified fight for 7 years. He always chose TCCL (tccl.org.uk) as his favoured charity for my Dook to support, and I fully intend to continue to do this every year as long as I am able! This year (2021) the Dook was cancelled due to the pandemic but I still did my own one at the beach! I raised over £1200.00, which is why I have set that as my target to break! Please make that happen!
