Chris Worby is raising £125,000 for 1st Wash Common Scout Group
About
The Scout Group is setting out on a challenging journey over the next few years. Our aim is to replace the somewhat dilapidated Victorian built wooden hut on Battery End, Wash Common, with a purpose built environmentally friendly and efficient building that will be used by the Scout Group and other community users for many years to come. To fund the project the Scout Group must raise a great deal of money. To help in this I now plan to walk the Coast to Coast path and request sponsorship for my forthcoming walk from everyone who is sympathetic to our aim of providing a new facility for the Wash Common community. The walk will start on the 24 th May from St Bees Head and be completed in June when I stagger in to Robin Hood Bay nearly 200 miles later! I hope to send regular updates on my progress along the way by posting on face book and Twitter. All funds raised will go to the 1 st Wash common Scout Group and contributions may be made to the Group through the giving site at givey.com/efc2c
