Hi I'm Gill, and I'm taking part in the Prudential RideLondon 100 mile bike ride on 4th August to raise funds for Age UK Reading. It's a local charity that supports older people and their carers and family in the community. I have always loved cycling but this will be my first cycle event so I'm quite excited and a bit terrified. I have always been quite competitive on a bike so I know I'm going to have to stay steady in the early stages to save some leg power for the end, and I know it's going to be tough. I'm an anaesthetist at the Royal Berkshire Hospital and cycle in and out of work all year round so can cope with most weather conditions and will be doing some training with my daughter who also has a place on the ride. Thank you so much for supporting me with your donation to Age UK Reading, every penny is going to a great cause and will hopefully bring many smiles into our community, and give me the strength to pedal through to the end.
