Matthew Weston is raising £300 for RNLI - Royal National Lifeboat Institution
About
Hi, My "prologue" event before the Berlin Marathon this year will be at the Great North Run, which is a great opportunity to raise some much needed cash for the RNLI. Having grown up near the coast, I have the utmost respect for the work of the RNLI, especially in places like Whitstable - where they have been saving lives at sea for over 50 years. The RNLI relies solely on public donations, for which it needs to raise around 385,000 a day. In return it rescues on average 22 people daily, as well as the odd risk-taking dog, like Drum the labrador, who last month fell 100 feet down a cliff in Reculver and broke his paw and would have surely perished had it not been for the amazing efforts of the Whitstable life boat crew. I really appreciate your support, thank you for your donation. Matt
