Whatsmore, they never share your email address with any third parties except the Charity you donate to. We are supporting the most vulnerable children, disabled families and elderly with food and basic essentials a result of COVID-19. We need your support to reach as many people as possible. Throughout the pandemic the main purpose of our organisation has been to continue to support the community. We have been continuing provide a service in response to COVID-19, to help mitigate the impact on our local community. Currently we are supporting people affected by poverty/disadvantaged in the community who are impacted by the effects of COVID-19 Without our service many would go without. Those dependant on our support include young people, parents, vulnerable, socially isolated and the elderly. In the last months since lockdown began, we have ensured many local residents have had access to food and support. We have done this by delivering: • over 45,000 packed lunches (lunches made by Social bite), • over 23,000 bags of food and essentials • over 25,000 hot meals Alongside this we have provided ongoing support and advice to parents, a digital youth work. This work is only made possible due to the ongoing support of the local community and our youth volunteers. Many of our youth volunteers come from different backgrounds and being involved in this service has gave them a renewed purpose and a sense of achievement and gain accreditation for their role. Our service currently supports 500+ per week, and we are continuing delivering 150 packed lunches per day, 250+ of bags of food per week and 500+ hot meals. With every passing month, we are taking in new referrals for families whose financial situation is changing, with many of our beneficiaries being families who have previously been able to support us. The situation is not improving with more and more people looking to us for support. We know the worst as yet to come, with more people losing their livelihoods, and government schemes coming to an end. We are looking to others to help us sustain the support we are offering.
