We’re back on track, thanks to two incredible donations of £5,000 each!
These generous gifts have reignited our journey toward raising £18,000 to fund a life-changing oxygen chamber for my daughter, Elodie.
Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) is showing real promise for children with brain injuries like Elodie’s. It works by increasing the amount of oxygen delivered to damaged or dormant brain cells—giving them the chance to "wake up" and function more effectively. This increased oxygen supply can support healing, reduce inflammation, and promote neuroplasticity (the brain’s ability to form new connections).
For children with cerebral palsy (CP), early studies and clinical reports have shown that HBOT may lead to:
Reduced spasticity (muscle tightness)
Improved gross motor skills (such as sitting, crawling, walking)
Enhanced fine motor control (grasping, reaching)
Better cognitive function, attention, and even speech
Improved sleep, mood, and overall quality of life
While research is ongoing, many families report positive outcomes and increased quality of life after HBOT.

Elodie faces daily challenges—including cerebral palsy and epilepsy—but she’s an incredibly resilient little girl. We’re now trying to purchase a two-person HBOT chamber, so I can accompany her during treatment, ensuring she feels safe and supported:

The total cost comes to £18,000 (plus VAT, delivery, training, masks, etc.). It's a daunting number for our family, but with the kindness of people like you, we believe we can make this happen.
What makes this effort even more powerful is our intention to share the chamber with other families in Hull who are in similar situations. We know too many children affected by complications at Hull Royal Infirmary—and we want this to be a resource that brings wider healing and hope.
