About
My wonderful friend, Ting Choi, sadly lost her tough 3 year battle to cancer on the 8th September 2014 (cancer cheated though, typical). Yesterday was her birthday. One of her happiest moments this year was when the Willow Foundation, an amazing charity that puts together personalised special days for young people with serious diseases, arranged to fulfill her wish - to make her awesome husband (and very good friend of mine) Doun Choi smile. Ting and Doun went to the Fat Duck restaurant together courtesy of Willow Foundation, and apart from uploading lots of photos that made the rest of us jealous we weren't invited (erm, thanks guys...), Ting for the first time in a long while cried tears of joy. They were touched by the efforts of the charity and more importantly, by the donations that the Willow Foundation relies upon from people like you. If you want to help towards a Special Day for a seriously ill young person, like my friend Ting, please spare what you can. To fundraise, I will be growing a moustache - and not just for November. I will keep the moustache going as long as the donations keep coming in. I hate moustaches. I hate having a moustache. I hate the feeling of a moustache. I look very stupid normally, and having a moustache will make me look even more ridiculous than usual. I have medical final exams soon, moustaches are an instant fail. Nobody trusts a man with a moustache, and nor should they. A moustache makes me look like my nose has just vomitted it's nasal hairs out on my face in disgust of the idea. Think of anyone you know who regularly has a moustache....you can't can you? Moustaches are just wrong. But, I will keep my word. So, whether you are motivated to see me become a hairy-lipped baffoon, or you realise what a great charity the Willow Foundation is - please donate what you can and help other people have a special day too. Thank you.
