About
I've just finished my first London Marathon & although it was tough I also loved it. I'ved called this a London Marathon Adventure as I wasn't sure what to expect beyond 20 miles - the furthest I'd run before - would there be the Wall? I was determined to make it an adventure to find out. The crowd is amazing & keeps you going. Especially the woman who told me "Remember why you're doing this." Here's why: I was one of 56 people running the 2015 London Marathon for the Prostate Cancer Research Centre to help fund research to develop drugs to prevent men getting prostate cancer and to help treat it - if they do. The team at Guy's Hospital who are funded by the Prostate Cancer Research Centre have shown me the work they're doing in their labs to defeat this disease. And they're getting closer. They are exploring drugs which could be used as a preventative and treatments to help men with early or advanced prostate cancer. Please be prostate cancer aware for those you love. @ThePCRC
