On Sunday 24th May 2026 the Krazy Races soapbox derby shall be in Crewe, where many teams in their “Krazy” karts shall be racing down Ford Lane and Broad Street to raise money for charity. The amazing staff and students of Crewe Engineering & Design UTC are competing to support Hopes & Beams, having built an amazing kart based on Jurassic Park! Hopes and Beams is a multi-award-winning small independent charity. We provide education, sporting and social opportunities for children and young people who have physical, sensory or learning disabilities. We also run inclusive activities for senior members of the community, including those living with Alzheimer’s, dementia and Parkinson’s. Our charity’s main source of funding is through public donations, which is why fundraising events such as Krazy Races are so important to our charity’s survival in these trying times. We know that not everyone carries cash around with them these days, so we have set up this Givey page for those who would like to donate to our fundraiser online.
