Kamna Muralidharan is raising £500 for Women & Girls Network
About
Inspired by my time working in the women's sector, I was looking for the right charitable endeavour to help me raise money for the Women & Girls Network - a challenge of some sort, that would push me, both physically as well as mentally; something that would reflect the enormity of the task they face every single day. When I found out about the London to Brighton walk, I thought it was just the thing I was looking for. I even managed to con a dear friend to join me and I think it is going to be fun! As a mother of two young girls, I also wanted to do something to inspire them and show them that they can do anything if they put their minds to it; that they have to make an effort and above all else, try. We talk a lot about charity and giving in our home. I believe doing this walk and raising money will also show them how the process works; that there are many ways to give; time, effort or money. So, now the catch - here's where I'm asking you guys to please contribute a bit to raise money for The Women & Girls Network. The organisation works to promote and restore the mental health of women who have experienced gender violence: sexual and/or domestic violence. Take a look at their website: www.wgn.org.uk for more information and if you can, contribute to see me walking from London to Brighton! :) Thank you Kamna
