Julie Kelly is raising £500 for Yorkshire Animal Shelter
About
Yorkshire Animal Shelter is a small rescue and rehoming facility based in North Leeds that aims to rehabilitate and rehome as many animals, mainly cats, as possible. We also have many permanent residents at our site including a horse, 6 sheep, a pig and a hen plus 9 cats and 2 dogs, none of whom can be rehomed due to health or behavioural reasons. We can take in emergencies, prosecution cases and animals that would be put to sleep after 7 days if their owner isn’t found. No other organisation in the area offers this facility. All cats are neutered thus reducing further escalation of breeding. They are also microchipped and vaccinated. We have strict rehoming guidelines to ensure that all animals are adopted to suitable homes and every potential adopter is home checked. The shelter has a no-kill policy and is a non-profit organisation run by a small team of dedicated volunteers and unpaid trustees. We rely solely on public donations for our income. My son Lee has offered to completely wax his legs if we reach our goal of £500 every penny will go towards the ongoing vet bills and daily care of all the animals in our care, so please give generously :)
