I'm cycling over 1200km around Tasmania in support of the 5Cs
The 5Cs is a Cardiff based charity dedicated to supporting Belarusian Children's Hospice in Minsk. Every year, volunteers from the 5Cs run a series of summer camps for disabled children from all over Belarus. The kids have an amazing two weeks playing games, telling stories, acting out plays, singing and dancing. Their parents have much needed rest from the pressure of constant care in a nation with very little in the way of state support. The volunteers have an experience which will warm their hearts for the rest of their lives. I volunteered at at one of the summer camps in 2015. Those two weeks at camp are two of the happiest weeks of my life. Although many of the kids have the toughest lives imaginable, they overwhelm us with their love and positivity in the face of their challenges. It still brings a tear to my eye just thinking about that summer. In one way or another, I've supported the 5Cs for much of the last decade. The charity is independent and run entirely by volunteers. The team of trustees are some of the most inspirational people I have ever met. I'm proud to help the 5Cs in whatever way I can. Thank you for visiting our Givey page. When you make your donation through Givey, the Charity receives 100% of the donation. Your details are safe with Givey and donating is completely secure. Whatsmore, they never share your email address with any third parties except the Charity you donate to.
