About
Hello Everyone,
I spent some time debating whether to make this Machu Picchu trek a fundraiser. But after completing the 46 km journey through some of the most challenging terrain and altitudes imaginable, I now realise just how much of a personal challenge this truly was.
The constant headaches, chest pains, and overwhelming fatigue were like nothing I’ve ever experienced. As someone who suffers from sleep apnea, I often battle exhaustion on a daily basis — and the high altitude made it incredibly hard to breathe. The trek took four intense days, and there were moments I genuinely thought I wouldn’t make it.
But I kept going. I thought of my own rescue dogs… and the countless faces of dogs I’ve seen over the years while helping in Romania. Their lives, their suffering, and their hope carried me through.
So now, with all my heart, I’ve decided to dedicate this challenge to raising funds for our September Mass Spay & Neuter Campaign. These sterilisation efforts mean the absolute world to me — and more importantly, they prevent the suffering of thousands of innocent puppies before it even begins.
Many of you know my past charity efforts have included climbing Kilimanjaro (twice!), cycling hundreds of miles, and even wing walking — all to raise funds for K-9 Angels’ mass spay and neuter campaigns. Every single penny raised from this trek will go directly towards sterilising an innocent soul.
Every penny counts — because every life counts.
(Trip fully self-funded.)
Your support would mean the absolute world to me.
With much love,
Victoria & Stephen (my husband)
xx
