Matthew Rosenberg is raising £500 for Wakefield Hospice
About
So most people looking at this page will remember I raced in a short triathlon two years ago, (it didn't seem short at the time), to raise money for Wakefield Hospice. Since then I've been looking for my next challenge to take on and when I heard from Rob West that Vietnam would be holding it's first ever IRONMAN 70.3, (half ironman), then I couldn't resist. Now before you get all, "It's just a half Ironman", listen to the distances: SWIM 1.9km (1.2 miles) in the sea, BIKE: 90km (56 miles), RUN: 21.1km (13.1 miles or a half marathon), if that sounds like a big enough challenge then please donate a bit of cash for my cause. I would like to dedicate this challenge to my Nana, Connie Rosenberg, who sadly passed away last summer. Why Wakefield Hospice? For those of you who didn't see the story during my last fundraiser, the reason I want to raise money for Wakefield Hospice is that they cared for both of my Grandad's when they became seriously ill a number of years ago, and they both ultimately passed away while in the hospice. The level of care really was truly exceptional and none of us in the family can really thank them enough for the work they do on limited funds. If you want to see where your money will be going, visit http://www.wakefieldhospice.org/ Any money you give will spur me on in my training and will help me get to the finish line. If you want an idea of how long this will take me, these are my targets: SWIM: under 1 hour, BIKE: 3 hours 30 mins, RUN: 2 hours 30 mins. So I could be going for up to 7 hours! That must be worth a fiver at least? Cheers, Matt
