Elizabeth hughes is raising £1,000 for Caudwell Children
About
Megan is having her hair cut on July 4th and donating it to the little princess trust who supply wigs to children who have lost there hair through illness/chemotherapy. This something that Megan has wanted to do since she was a little girl after going through chemotherapy herself when she was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma cancer when she was 6 months old. We were very lucky to be chosen to go on Destination Dreams with Caudwell Chlidren in December 2003. Every year Caudwell Children take 25 families to Florida for a week of fun, laughter and making magical memories. There are a team of medics, volunteers and Caudwell staff to help and support all families on this trip of a lifetime. We stayed at give kids the world which was exactly like being in toy town and the most magical place in the world. We went to the parks, watched parades, went on lots of rides and had the best week of our lives. Sadly alot of the children who go on the trip may not be here the following year. We had a week with other families in the same position, no one was judged, we actually managed to forget about hospital appts and the stresses of everyday life. We have made some lifelong friends and have the most amazing memories. None of this would have been possible without the amazing support of all at Caudwell and we now want to help raise funds for this years trip in December. Please support Megan in having her lovely long hair cut into a short bob, no matter how large or small youre donation it will go along way to enable other families to experience the most magical week of there lives. This trip costs the charity approx £250,000 every year so please dig deep. We are also holding a charity evening on the 11th july at Purley social club. there will be a raffle, karaoke, quiz, adult games and loads more. Joe will be having his legs waxed and also my cousins husband Chris has agreed to be as brave as my 14yr old and also have his legs done. Chris is a big lad but is a real teddy bear haha.
