I'm running this year's London Marathon (on October 2), raising funds for The Brain Tumour Charity.

My first wife, Kim, was diagnosed with a brain tumour in 2000. Despite initially responding well to radiotherapy treatment she died later that year. While there have been some advances in treatment options since then, survival rates for people diagnosed with malignant brain tumours are still very low (around 11%). The Brain Tumour Charity is the largest brain tumour charity in the world, funding research into new treatment options and raising awareness of brain tumour symptoms to improve rates of early diagnosis.
