Katie Searle is raising £250 for Cardiac Risk in the Young
About
On the 9th of July we will be doing the CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young) London bridges walk in memory of our friend Miriam Lee, who passed away last August. This is a symbolic event as the route passes 12 of London's iconic landmarks, representing the 12 young sudden cardiac deaths that occur each week in the UK. It raises funds for the charity and promotes awareness of young sudden cardiac death; it also allows those who take part to remember the young people they have lost. The money raised goes towards, amongst other things, heart screenings of people aged 12-35 in the hope of identifying those at risk and getting them treatment. Our £250 target would pay for an ECG and consultation for one person. This is important to us as it may prevent another friendship group from having to go through what we went through. Thank you for your kind donation.
