Our mission to Brazil aims to raise funds for and awareness of the plight of women and young girls in Brazil who are trapped in a life of poverty, prostitution and hopelessness. Many, as young as 8 years old are forced to live in a cycle of the sex trade to support their familes, with little hope of a better future. The work of RescueMe - part of the iCWN - is to build a centre where these women and young girls can go for respite, education, rest and restoration. Our next mission trip in April, will pave the way for the first phase of the project - to prepare the space that we've been given in Rio as a potential space to be used as a respite house. The vision of the project is large - more details at www.icwn.org.uk - and will take time, effort and resources beyond out current capacity. We cannot do it alone.
