Mark Reid is raising £750 for The Psoriasis Association
About
PLEASE USE THE JUSTGIVING PAGE UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE THANK YOU The amount raised on here, doesn't include the amount given at Justgiving or by paper donation. This year I am taking part in the 16 mile Kingston Breakfast run http://humanrace.co.uk/events/running/kingston-run-challenge and the Ballbuster Duathlon http://humanrace.co.uk/events/duathlon/winter-ballbuster to help raise funds for the Psoriasis Association. Both of these events will take me out of my comfort zone, the breakfast run is the same distance I will have to run at the Duathlon, the only difference being that on Duathlon day, it's laps round the famous Box Hill (that place where the cyclists did laps in the Olympics, it is going to be a real test of how my body will cope). I suffer from both Psoriasis and Psoriatic arthritis (currently just in my right knee), and with it being a degenerative disease, I know my condition will get worse (I am so lucky at the moment, as my symptoms are very mild). There are many who suffer really badly, the Psoriasis in some that I chat to in a group that I am a member of struggle to move some days due to the pain they get, and they also have people asking terrible questions, as they have no idea of the illness. If you are reading this, you are obviously a family member, friend or rather unlucky person who knows me, so while here, please please please could you click on the donate button. Remember, you are donating to know that I will be pushing myself on two events and the numerous training days, that I will have to do, to get my body ready for the Duathlon, as this will be the hardest event I have ever done by far. The profile photo is from my fundraising last year, when I completed the Challenge distance at the London Duathlon within 2hrs 45minutes. I raised around 500 for the Psoriasis association. The link below, is to my charity blog for fitness, in here I will keep you updated of how the training is going on (some will be funny) and let you know the aches and pains I am getting. http://mypaintheirpleasure.wordpress.com/ Thank you Mark
