NC White are a Telford Junior Football team formed in 2022. In the Summer of 2023 Joey joined our team, he quickly became an important and popular figure within the team and it was decided we would make him team captain. A few weeks later we learned that Joey lived with the rare blood disorder Diamond-Blackfan anemia (DBA), that occurs when the bone marrow fails to make red blood cells, which are essential for carrying oxygen from the lungs to all the other parts of the body. The team decided they wanted to do something to help support a charity that was close to their captains heart. Joeys parents Nick and Genna suggested the Harry Johnson trust which is for children with cancer and blood related illnesses. The players, coaches and parents are all passionate and proud to be raising money for this very worthy cause and we aim to do this every season going forward to do something to help.
