About
Northamptonshire Domestic Abuse Service (NDAS) began under the name of Northampton Women’s Aid in 1976. Originally staffed by volunteers the organisation has changed a lot since then but has always been dedicated to helping and supporting the victims of domestic abuse. Our experience and statistics tell us that women are the main victims of domestic abuse. Much of the work we do is supporting women. However, this is not inclusive. We have helped and continue to support victims and survivors from all genders and walks of life, covering all ethnicities, socio-economic statuses, sexual orientation and religions. We changed our name to reflect this, and the work we do in Northamptonshire as a whole county. A small team of cyclists will be using static bikes on 28th August in the Grosvenor Shopping Centre to ride the combined distance from Northampton to Paris. That is a whopping 581k!! We would love it if you would come and cheer them on and say hello to some of our team. By supporting us and our amazing team of cyclists, you are helping to support families affected by domestic abuse in Northamptonshire. £224 supports a family in refuge for a week £50 pays for a families food for a week £25 pays for a an hours support session £15 pays for a potentially life saving safety plan
