Phil Sturgeon is raising £250 for The National Autistic Society
About
I had planned to ride 100 miles this year to raise money for Autism awareness and education. Due to the complications over the USA visa process that will not be possible, so I am doing my own thing instead. I am currently in London and need to get back to Bristol, so the obvious choice was to cycle home. The route I have planned is about 125 miles, with a 6,500ft elevation. I have to get to Bristol before 11pm, because I will be finishing at The Old Bank, where I will complete the ride with a series of ciders. This might not seem all that much to those who are used to me banging on about cycling, so I decided to make it more of a challenge. I have spent most of the last 3 months sitting in front of a screen, drinking enough to make my kidneys actually hurt and have been smoking like a chimney. Thanks to that, and thanks to not being on a bike properly in months, this 125 mile cycle is looking less like a Sunday afternoon jolly and much more like an ordeal. 100% of the money you donate will go to The National Autistic Society. They do some amazing work, and every little helps.
