Victoria and Alec are going to try and tackle all of the English 3000s all eight peaks in England that rise above 3,000 feet, including the highest mountain in England, in two days; the 5th and 6th September 2014. We are doing this to raise money for Meningitis Now, having had experience of this nasty disease when our son, Finn, caught it last year, when he was just 9 months old. Finn was one of the lucky ones and appears to have made a full recovery, but many other people die or suffer long term issues such as loss of limbs, epilepsy, brain damage and hearing loss. Meningitis Now is a charity with almost 30 years experience. Formed in 2013 by bringing together Meningitis UK and Meningitis Trust, founders of the meningitis movement in the UK. They exist to save lives and rebuild futures by funding research, raising awareness and providing support.
