Paul Sweeney is raising £1,000 for Alzheimer's Society
About
Thanks for taking the time to visit my page! Dementia is a terminal condition that triggers a loss of brain function in an individual. In the UK alone, 800,000 people suffer with dementia with numbers set to rise over the next few years. Approximately 62% of those individuals have Alzheimer's disease. I know many of us have in some way been affected by this debilitating disease and needless to say, it is likely that we will all be affected at some point; whether it be directly or through a loved one. Even though there is currently no cure for dementia, research remains desperately underfunded ... that is why I need your help! On Sunday the 10th of August 2014, I will rising to the challenge and attempting the Prudential RideLondon 100 mile bicycle ride (race!). The course goes through the capital and into Surreys leg-testing countryside, and so should be a spectacular yet tough ride. Any donation big or small will be hugely appreciated!
