About
Greetings lovely people! Having never undertaken a run longer than a phonecall to Virgin customer services, I decided it time to take on running the London marathon on the 23rd of April. I'm running and fundraising for International Needs UK, a worldwide christian charity working to help families suffering through poverty and crisis to create a sustainable future. The organisation aim to provide a lasting impact and are committed to meaningful aid and development projects to inspire sustained growth that builds up the communities it works with. Project for street boys in Kenya is one example of how this charity aids the communities it serves. An estimated 60,000 children and young people live on the streets in Nairobi, scavenging, begging and picking through rubbish for survival. The project by International Needs UK works with Grace Empowerment, a local Christian charity in Kenya to provide these boys with food, healthcare, identity cards, clothing, and other basic resources. Not only does the project aim to provide for their basic needs but provides them with a non-formal education, vocational training and gospel teaching. Funds are now needed to develop the project to be able to provide a rehabilitation programme for the boys whilst harnessing their skills and talents. This is to enable these boys to access a workplace so that they can go on to support themselves into adulthood. So, if you feel able, donate to my page so that the Project for street boys in Kenya can continue to provide life changing aid and support to those living on the streets.
