Sooo…. almost a decade later, I’m taking on the challenge of running this year’s Scottish Half Marathon. And with less than two weeks to go (Sunday 17th), it’s starting to feel very real… This time, I’m running in support of Pulse of the Place, a brilliant local youth samba band (and a charity) that gives children and young people the chance to learn drumming, socialise, and most of all - have fun! Pulse is all about community, confidence, and joy - and right now, they really need support to keep groups running, creating safe spaces for young people to express themselves and continue touching lives in the community!
If you’re able to support in any way, it would honestly mean so much!

I DID IT! Scottish Half Marathon in 2:16:32 - pretty chuffed with that!🏃♀️💪🏻
A massive thank you to my family and friends for all the encouragement along the way - from kind words, to generous donations, to being there on the day today 💛 It honestly made such a difference!
I’ve been raising funds for Pulse of the Place, a brilliant local youth samba band and charity that supports children and young people not only musically but also socially, helping them connect, grow in confidence, and have fun 🥁✨ Pulse really needs the support to keep their amazing groups running!
After not running consistently for forever, I felt I needed that push to take better care of my own wellbeing, both physical and mental. And do something in support of others! Running really is good for the whole self… and sooo powerful. I’m grateful I’ve rediscovered it! 💫
The fundraising is still open! If you’d like to support Pulse and the amazing work they do, donations would mean so much!
