If the Proclaimers can walk 500 miles then surely I can cycle 500 kms!!!
About
2020 marked my 10th year as a trustee of African Vision Malawi and I was supposed to do something memorable back then to help celebrate the great work they'd been doing ever since being established back in 2005. However, Covid-19 put the kibosh on that so here we are in 2022 and I'm trying again!!!

Despite the pandemic AVM have continued their excellent work to support a variety of projects in Malawi so they can achieve their ambition to see a "healthy, educated and self-sufficient community in Malawi". Their work continues to focus on health, education, water & sanitation, the environment and most notably Sam's Village, a 17-acre self-sustaining training village developed to help train thousands of local people out of poverty. Your donation will have the potential to help AVM support the vulnerable and deserving adults within the community to attend a course for free and fund their training and living costs.

Back in 2020 many of you supported me on the proposed bike ride to the tune of just under £1,000 for which I am extremely grateful. In mid-September this year I will be trying again to cycle the 500kms from Blantyre to Lilongwe and on to Sam's Village so if you didn't support me back in 2020 and you'd like to do so now any donations would be greatly appreciated. Those of us taking part in Pedal Power 2022 will pay all our own costs to participate so that every penny of your donation will go directly to Malawi. AVM prides itself on having only volunteers in the UK, no paid staff, no expenses!

Thanks again to all of you that supported me back in 2020 and to those of you that would like to support me this time round, Cheers!!!
