About
Can you believe it? I turn 30 this week! To celebrate I have organized a group of friends to take on The Three Peaks. It’s a challenge I have always wanted to do and am grateful to have some friends mad enough to join me! -- Walking with purpose - as we take on this hike I will be raising money for International Needs and their project supporting disabled kids in rural Uganda. Please donate now to help me reach my target of £2,000!! -- THE CHALLENGE is to climb Ben Nevis, Scarfell Pike and mt Snowdon, the largest mountains in Scotland England and Wales within 24 hours. It's going to be tough, particularly climbing Scarfell in the dark, and the forecast is rain so it's not going to be pleasant. THE PROJECT - There is great stigma and misunderstanding about disability in rural Uganda. And as such, many disabled children are abused, neglected and abandoned. Very few get to go to school. International Needs is working to change this by training teachers about disability inclusion, raising awareness in communities, making schools more accessible, helping families provide for disabled children, providing mobility aids and much more. --- It costs £4,000 to support one school their community in this Programme. While crazy ambitious, I would love it if funds raised from this challenge could support one school? As someone with dyslexia who's received great support through my education this project is close to my heart. I want to help make sure others with greater challenges than me get access to education and support. So please think of a really generous donation amount, double it and give to this great cause.
